The casting area of the lab is a flexible space that offers the ability to make molds and cast different materials. Typical plaster, silicone and urethane rubbers can be used here to make molds. A wax area allows people to make castings for ceramic shell molds or sand castings. Every semester different metals, iron bronze and aluminum are poured at least once. The space is open during normal lab hours and the materials used in this space are for art and theater students only. If you are not an art and theater student, but wish to use this space please contact the FASTEnER Lab Manager.
