Woodworking processes that can be done in the FASTEnER Lab are only limited by a person’s skill and imagination. Instructors are knowledgeable in cabinetry, furniture construction, woodcarving, joinery, and carpentry to name a few areas of focus. By learning these skills and the equipment it is possible to take rough-cut lumber and turn it into a well crafted object in the FASTEnER Lab wood shop.
The Wood Shop is open during staffed Lab hours and only those who have taken a training class offered by the lab can use these facilities. Students who are interested in using the wood shop can sign up for training. Faculty who wish to teach in the lab, either one class or many should contact the FASTEnER Lab Manager to discuss your needs and scheduling.
